Yeah, about that hypocritical post…

Posted on August 26, 2014

Earlier today I wrote a relatively harsh (for my standards) blog that took some broad swipes at people who follow the Big Brother Live Feeds. I am writing this to apologize for my condescending attack on people who condescendingly attack my sister. I didn’t mean to offend everybody who watches the live feeds. I was responding specifically to a few people who have said some ugly things about the family. I am Christine’s big brother and it is my contractual duty to rein fists of anger upon those who would insult her. Or, in the event physical fists aren’t practical: word-fists. I’m not gonna lie, I was in an ugly, gross place when I wrote that blog: the bathroom.

I realized I am no better than the Twitter haters (from now on I will refer to them as my Future Friends) when I insult them, albeit in a less profane and more grammatically correct mann-… Nope, sorry. Not gonna go there.

Now you may be wondering why don’t I take the previous blog down? Well, I feel it’s an important benchmark in my growth as a human. I can look back at the old me of 4 hours ago and see how far I’ve come.

Here is an olive branch representing the peace I hope we will share now

(and I am not going to try to beat you over the head with it as that is no longer me)

I understand there may be some legitimate reasons to dislike Christine or her gameplay. But some of the insults have been low blows for things she can’t help. I have helpfully compiled a list of things she has been insulted for, starting at the top with things that we learned in grade school are not appropriate to make fun of folks for down to her actions, which are fair game:

– Her looks
– Her gluten allergy
– Her sniffling or nose blowing
– Her laugh
– Her hating on other HGs
– Her Cody-cuddling (Cod-dling?)

All that being said, I’d like to make amends. Even though we may be far apart and have different views on HGs (except Donny, we ALL love him), we no doubt also have a lot in common.

For example, I am sure we can all agree that we all love the following:
– Big Brother
– Puppies
– Cinnamon Rolls
– That smell right before it rains

So next time, when we want to call each other a #%£¥ and #<*{ or even £€#%ing %#€£head, or heaven forbid, a stinky poopface, let’s remember that deep down, that person probably also enjoys a good Seinfeld rerun just like you (I’m aging myself, aren’t I?).

Props on being a standup, real life “Big Brother” and standing up for Christine. With that being said, I don’t care for Christine’s game. I actually feel bad for her though because her husband is gaining follows by alternatively bad mouthing her, then playing the loving husband, while he is flirtatious on twitter. If you want the following Tim has, you will have to endeavor to be a lot more critical of her, but as you don’t seem to be a cruel and petty jerk with a minimum wage job and a garage band, I don’t see that happening. Good Luck!

I have to say I like everything about Christine’s family. I think Tim is awesome and really funny and after reading your blog you seem like pretty great brother. I hope when Christine gets out of that house she realizes her mistakes and she ends up being a different person than we have seen all summer. I don’t hate on people for how they look etc but I do think the Cody thing is disrespectful to her husband. I have never however pointed this out to him because I am pretty sure he knows it and doesn’t need it thrown in his face every hour. I would encourage all of Christine’s friends and family to advise her to lose the word hate from her vocabulary. She way over uses it and it makes her look horrible. Again props to her friends and family for standing by her that’s exactly the way it should be.

I have never seen Tim “badmouth” Christine in twitter. I have not seen people make fun of Christine’s “gluten allergy”, either. Christine was the one who said that she had never been tested for a gluten allergy. I have seen a lot of people question that. You can not know it is an “allergy”, if you were not tested for it. It is one of those fad “allergies” going around, so of course people question it. Her nose blowing is ok, it is her leaving tissues around and not washing her hands, that is gross. Guess it is all part of the reason the prize is half a million dollars…you earn it, having the world scrutinize you. People go WAY overboard

It has really bothered me the way she has touched Cody. It may not bother you or your family. I know he is getting close to her for game play (to get information for the boys). What is her motive? This morning on the feeds, she said something about not wanting to go back to Tucson.

I know that Derrick (a married man) is close to Victoria for the same reason as Cody. He is getting close to her for game play (to get information for the boys). However, they way the two of them interact physically is much different from Cody and Christine. I don’t think Derrick’s wife will be upset. I think Christine’s husband has good reason to be upset … should he choose to go that route. To each his own.

You seem genuine. I’m glad to have read your post.

I have to admit I wasn’t a “viewer” fan of Christine. After all, she was instrumental in evicting some of my favorite people. 🙂

However, I cannot figure out why people are so critical of her laugh. I think her laugh is absolutely AWESOME. Laughter is a gift to yourself and everyone around you. It is a joyous noise and every laugh is unique.

My favorite people in the world are those who laugh out loud. Please tell her not to stop. I would hate to think this experience would somehow silence something that not only makes life worth living, but also has been attribute to a longer healthier life.

    Laugh on Christine, laugh on!

Got something to say?
